Club Committee
2002 - 2003 Manifestos

The website
Our website exists, as I see it, for three basic purposes: Information for / communication with members (e.g. membership database, groups); Representation of the club (e.g. the Club section); and Entertainment of the masses (e.g. the Quotes page, the incest chart). Over the last couple of years, Martin Peck has built up a very professional and complete set of pages, which I would like to expand on. Whilst the site is very easy for the viewer to use, it is not so easy to administrate, and this is where I plan to make the most improvements.
Proposed Improvements
I would like to make it easier for members themselves to update the website, especially the result and photo gallery sections. I hope to trial for CUBC next year and so may not be around to collect results and take photos. This will not be a problem if I can encourage the captains to keep members informed. Of course, I will be open to any suggestions members may have about other improvements and additions to the website.
About Me
I have been programming computers for 16 years, and have done 3 months work experience using C++, MFC and com. I will learn PHP and XML, the language driving our website, and am well versed in HTML.
