Secretary - Yining Nie

They call me "bowbeast" and "massive 5 girl" - though I've decided it's time to settle down and submit myself for the slightly more amicable position of Secretary.

Having coxed on both the men and women's sides as well as being an MLBC this year, I have worked with most current members of the club. I know the importance of being organised and have had lots of experience hounding rowers in order to get things done on time. I've also been responsible for race entries and communicated with CUCBC whenever relevant issues arose.

If elected as Secretary, I will emphasise efficiency and effectiveness in chairing meetings and dealing with administration and accounts. An updated website is a useful website, so I will work with the Webmaster to keep content current and make it easier to find. I will show that emails are a force to be used for good, not spam. I also hope to organise Fairbairns dinner at the City Hotel (formerly the Crowne Plaza) jointly with Black Prince, as well as re-consider holding the Lents dinner in college while accommodating all members who wish to celebrate our achievements at First and Third.
