Tim Hele - Water Safety Officer

Contrary to popular belief, the Water Safety Officer does have responsibilities. In particular, I would like to ensure there is a proper first aid kit whose location is known to the whole boat club. There needs to be clear information on what aspiring scullers need to do to take out various boats (when I learned to scull I deduced the modus operandi from hearsay). I would also advertise swim tests, which, while not currently compulsory, are excellent experience and great fun.

Having had my fair share of accidents this year (falling out of the learner scull Tracey and then being hit by a taxi), and having completed swim tests with Cambridge 99's, I feel I have sufficient experience for the role.
