The Task

The JT is responsible for the Lard Cupboard. The position has been vacant this year, so I’ve been doing the job alongside the job of captain.

This Year

This year, I have set up the barcode system, which allows many more items to be stocked and fairly priced, as well as allowing the Lard Trophy to be awarded to truly the fattest person in the boatclub. I have taken suggestions as to what to stock, and will continue to do so in order to ensure that people can buy what they want from the lard cupboard.

Next Year

With a bit more time on my hands next year, I plan to improve things by making more trips to the cash and carry, while continuing to run the lard cupboard at a profit such that by the end of next year I aim to have a sufficient float that my successor does not have to put any of their own money in as a float.
