First and Third Trinity
Bumps Results & Mobiles
Throughout the week of bumps full results are available on your mobile phone. They will be updated within minutes of the end of each division from the tow path. There are two options:

An SMS Bumps results update |
 |
 |
|
Send a Text Message containing fat followed by 2 characters specifying a division to 60300. For example, sending
fat m1
requests the complete results of the Men's 1st division race that day. (i.e. Replace m with w and/or 1 with 2, 3 or 4 as appropriate.) You can send us this message at any time before or after the division. We will send you an SMS with a concise summary of the division's results that day as soon as the complete results are reported to the Senior Umpires at Peter's Posts, or immediately if the division has already rowed.
The cost for the Text Message you receive will be 12p. The text message you send will be charged at your regular UK rate.
Please note we accept no responsibility for late, incorrect or absent responses and will not issue refunds. You should not be charged the premium rate until you receive a reply. In testing SMS updates have typically arrived within 5 to 10 seconds of the results being submitted on the river bank. However, please consider this to be experimental !! If you experience long delays we'd like to know.

To use the WAP results site, point your WAP mobile phone to:
http://www-bc.trin.cam.ac.uk/wap/
If you haven't used WAP before but have a reasonably new mobile, it is not all that difficult - most phones are set-up now so it just works straight out of the box. (Mine seemed to, anyway.) On Nokias, go to 'Services', then simply type in the URL above.
Make sure you spell it exactly right - with slashes that point forwards (/), lowercase letters and a dash (-) in the www-bc bit. You can save the address in a bookmark to make it easier next time.
As you can see in the screen pictures, the WAP site provides more detail than we can fit into a Text Message - giving division starting orders and showing crews' overall progress.

People equipped with a radio can also hear up-to-the-minute bumping results on Cambridge University Radio, which will also feature fuller reports of the men's and women's 1st divisions.
