The Boathouse: Instructions for Use
The boat house is surprisingly enough where we keep all of our
boats. It is also equipped with changing rooms, showers,
a lard cupboard, and all the weights and ergo equipment needed to keep 1st and
3rd lean and mean.
- Use of weights and Ergos
- The boat house has 4 Concept II model C ergos and 5 model B's. Please make
an effort to look after these. The Concept II sliders for the model C ergs are
particularly delicate and are for use by only the top crews or when supervised.
- Changing Rooms
- Please make an effort to keep these clean and tidy, they are cleaned once
a week and any random kit that is left lying about will be placed in the drying
room and eventually thrown out.
- Lard Cupboard
- The lard cupboard is run on a system of trust - if it is abused then the
service will be stopped. Every time you take an item of Lard please scan it using the new-fangled computer and bar-code scanner. Your purchases
for the term will then be charged to your college bill. Usually the Junior Treasurer (but at the moment the V.P.)
is charged with keeping the cupboard well stocked with Lard. If
they aren't buying what you want to eat then ask Simon to stock something different!
- Access
- Access to the boat house is by a college buttery card, this has to be programmed
by Mr. Coleman in the College accomodation office. He will only program your
card if your name is on the list he has provided by the Captain.
