The First and Third Association has existed for many years, as a way for former members of First and Third to stay in touch with the boat club, and provide moral and financial support.

Membership of the Association is available to any former First and Third rower or cox for a modest fee:
Whilst this amount is small to each member, it soon mounts up, and allows the Association to inject much-needed funds into First and Third where necessary.
In order to join, please set up a standing order for the appropriate amount to the following bank account:

The Association meets on the First Tuesday of each month in central London, and any members are welcome to come along to say hello. The evening starts in Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese at approximately 7.30pm (or whenever people can get out of work):

At approximately 9pm, the evening moves to the local curry house, who haven't yet worked out that we've been there without fail each First Tuesday of the month for the last 5 years, but do a very good Lamb Bhuna:

The highlight of the Association social calendar is a biennial black tie dinner held in the Old Kitchens. This is a great chance to meet up with old friends and exchange rowing stories of yesteryear, as well as to be regaled by one of Peter Brandt's legendary jokes.
The next Biennial Dinner will be held on Saturday, 4 October 2008. As usual, the dinner will be in the Old Kitchens, Trinity College, at 7.30pm for 8.00pm. The dress code is black tie or club. The price of the dinner, including wine, will be:
Tickets for the dinner are limited, and will be issued on a first come, first served basis. Preference will be given to Association members. If you would like to attend, please transfer the appropriate amount to the First and Third Association bank account (details as above) and email the officers at assoc@firstandthird.org with your name(s), postal address and year of matriculation to reserve your place.
